July: Cultivating Ideas, Connections & Creativity
This month, we had the opportunity to create, explore, and connect in meaningful ways. From caring for a community garden to expressing ourselves through art, each gathering became an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and engage with one another.
On Wednesday, 8 July, the Crossroads team took part in a special activity organised by Pervolarides of Thessaloniki, where we had the chance to learn more about their work and inspiring approach to community and sustainability. Together, we built a raised garden bed, planted herbs and flowers, and learned about the principles of composting and sustainable living.

On Sunday, 26 July, we came together for our community-led Painting & Wine workshop, a creative experience that combined art, relaxation, and personal reflection. Guided by Efi, a member of the Crossroads community and a social worker, participants created their own Tree of Life, using painting to reflect on their roots, personal strengths, support networks, and the aspirations they hope to nurture in the future.

Rather than being a traditional painting class, the workshop offered a space for self-expression, connection, and meaningful conversation, with every artwork telling its own unique story!

Our July activities once again highlighted the value of participation, experiential learning, and collaboration. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part, as well as to our partners, for their warm hospitality, inspiration, and contribution to making these experiences possible.
We look forward to creating more opportunities to connect, learn, and actively engage with our community in the months ahead.
With gratitude,
The Crossroads Team
