June at Crossroads Community: Small Gatherings, Meaningful Impact!
June was a month that reminded us why the Crossroads Community exists. Every action, every gathering, and every new connection became an opportunity to create space for connection.
Community-led Pilates at YMCA Park
We kicked off the month with a different kind of community-led event. At YMCA Park, in the shade of the trees and surrounded by the sounds of nature, Chrysoula and Eirini, members of the Crossroads Community, shared their love for Pilates with us.

Another reminder that the knowledge within our community can become a reason for us to meet, take care of ourselves, and connect with one another.
Youthquake! – Mapping Thessaloniki Through Our Stories
A few days later, we hosted our very first Youthquake! event. Using paper, scissors, glue, and plenty of imagination, we created a collective map of Thessaloniki, filled with personal stories, favourite routes, and places that hold special meaning for each of us.

What made this workshop even more meaningful was that it was entirely designed and facilitated by young people participating in the Youthquake Incubator. From an initial idea to its final implementation, they demonstrated what can happen when young people are given the space to experiment, collaborate, and create.
Crossroads Community at the Thessaloniki Anti-Racist Festival.
We closed the month by taking part in the Thessaloniki Anti-Racist Festival. Over three consecutive days, we met people of different ages, cultures, and life experiences. Through a participatory activity, 97 participants shared a skill or piece of knowledge they could offer to others, creating a collective canvas of collaboration and generosity.

Equally important were the conversations that emerged around this activity. Many passersby asked us what the Crossroads Community is and why it exists. And almost every conversation led to the same conclusion: there is a deep need for meaningful human connection.

This is exactly what we aim to build at Crossroads Community: spaces where people can meet, share, collaborate, and form genuine relationships!

If June taught us anything, it is that communities are not built through big gestures. They are built when people make time for one another, share what they know, and choose to create something together.
With love,
The Crossroads Team
